Problem :
The client required a complete UI design for a messaging application with multiple core sections, including chat list, notes, media, contacts, and settings. The main challenge was not just visual design, but defining a clear and intuitive user flow—how users navigate between different sections efficiently while maintaining a seamless experience. Additionally, existing messaging apps often lack a strong sense of privacy, which was a key focus for this product.
Solution :
I started by defining the user flow and overall information architecture, ensuring users could easily access all core sections through a clear and scalable navigation system. A bottom navigation approach was selected to provide quick and consistent access to key features.
Once the structure was finalized, I designed a cohesive UI system with a modern dark theme and a strong visual identity, emphasizing clarity, hierarchy, and usability. The design system and UI kit ensured consistency across all screens, including chat, media, calls, and profile sections, while reinforcing the product’s focus on privacy and simplicity.
Summary :
This project focused on designing a multi-functional messaging platform with a strong emphasis on privacy, clarity, and usability. By starting with user flow and information architecture, and then building a consistent UI system, the final result delivers a structured, intuitive, and visually cohesive experience across all key features of the product.
